Digital Media Veterans Celia Wu & Tim Faircliff Take Leadership Positions Within The 614 Group

 The 614 Group, a global digital management consultancy, announced two appointments that strengthen the company's strategy and operations in the U.S. and Europe.

Celia Wu has been named Practice Chair, Content Monetization Content. In her role she will serve as senior advisor to The 614 Group's client base on issues related to overall revenue strategy and internal operational development, with a focus on the synergies that are created when an organization combines the disciplines of its direct and programmatic business lines. She joins the company from Operative, where she served as Vice President of Media Monetization and helped digital media publishers generate the most revenue out of their ad inventory. Before Operative, Wu was Director, Sales Development for MSNBC.com, where she was responsible for all non-guaranteed revenue and revenue diversification efforts.

Earlier in her career, Wu spent eight years at Microsoft, joining as Regional General Manager of MSN Asia and then General Manager of Global Business Development where she focused on partnerships in Europe. Prior to Microsoft, Celia worked for Turner Entertainment as Executive Vice President & General Manager, launching Cartoon Network and Turner Classic Movies throughout Asia. She spent 14 years working in Asia and was on the launch team for Star TV as its Vice President and General Manager of Programming.

Tim Faircliff
Tim Faircliff, Partner, 614 Group UK

Appointed as a partner in the United Kingdom, Tim Faircliff will be playing a key role in The 614 Group's ongoing expansion in Europe. In the our UK efforts Tim will helping our team to understand the specific needs of publishers in the UK market so we can fine tune our service offer to be market specific. In addition to his new position with the consultancy, Faircliff currently serves as Executive Chairman at the Association of Online Publishers (AOP).

On the publishing front, Faircliff's career includes a six year leadership engagement with Thomson Reuters, where he served as General Manager Media, overseeing sales, marketing, and operations for the media giant's B2C advertising-supported propositions across web, mobile, and outdoor in Europe, Middle East, and Africa. In addition, he spent eight years at the Telegraph Media Group as General Manager, running online publishing operations, leading content strategy, and more.
